Halloween in pictures

I'm going to be more dilligent. But here's a quick catch up from the past 2 months

Halloween:

Most of these are from Springs Preserve, where we went on a hayride, did trick-or-treating, and watched fun sing-a-long shows with Sponge Bob and Elmo. My pictures from actual trick-or-treating will be added later. (If I can remeber!) We wen't to the Matthews Halloween party the weekend prior and they had all kinds of games and fun things to do. Ryan just loved the Hula-Hoop. Our karate school Halloween party was fun, all my pictures my sister has though, since my camera died that night. But it was fun! Not very organized, it was more of a 'moving the school' thing than a party. wE had food and drinks but it was busy and we were all side tracked by packing and what not. The kids had fun running around, though!

And that was our Halloween this year =]

Life

So, I've not posted in quite some time. It's not because we've been incredibly busy, although, I wish I had an easy answer like that. I've actually just been enjoying my time lately. We've not had crazy busy weekends as we had for it seems 5 months straight. Actually, I've gotten to spend some Saturday's and Sunday's sitting at home. Cooking, cleaning, watching football and all that jazz. It's Christmas time, and I have yet to blog about Halloween! *sigh* Halloween and Thanksgiving were both wonderful, in a nut shell. We're all still here, healthy and happy. We're enjoying being pregnant. (at least, I don't think I've been too much of a crazy woman for my husband to deal with) and we're ready for baby Lilly to come and meet her family. =]

tootles!

Cleaning

I'm kind of a cleaning freak. I hate dirty bathrooms with a passion. That's my biggest pet peve is bathrooms... So, I make a point to clean our bathrooms every week, and I must say, the boys are going to have to start cleaning the toilets, I'm sooooooo over pee on the seats!!! Well, as a housewarming gag gift Tiffany got me the most AmaZiNg cleaning gloves of all time, and I had to share them...

Introducing... le pink rubber gloves...

I thought they were the funniest things ever! But to be completely honest, I'd rather clean in them then the stupid yellow ones, because these fit my hands better! So, I've been walking around the past couple weeks cleaning bathrooms in them... haha! Thank you Tiffany!!!

Cracker Barrell

A couple weekends ago we went up to St. George to visit some family friends. Their son had gotten his Eagle scout and he's only 15! We went up to celebrate this with them. Such an amazing acomplishment. After our visit, there was no way on Gods green earth that I was going to drive past a Cracker Barrell without eating there!!! So we stopped for dinner.

Cracker Barrell is very close to my heart. I know, you're thinking 'how is a resturant that important to you??'. Well, when I lived in Salt Lake as a kid, we used to eat at Cracker Barrell every Sunday with my grandparents. It was the most wonderful resturant. I loved it. Every Christmas my mom would get my sister and me a beautiful porceline doll from the store inside. My sister and I would rush and hurry to eat our dinner so we could go look at all the neat things they had in the store section. Most of all, it's a place where I can remember my grandparents. I remember having peg game wars with my Grammie and Pops, and my mom always being stumped by it. I remember fun laughing times, and eating there is just over all one of my most fondest memories from my childhood.

Mouthfull of news

So, I have some really exciting news to share!

Ready?

are you sure you're really ready?

really??

OK ok ok I'll tell you!

I'm going to be a mommy!!!!!

(Right after I found out)

Did you let that sink in a bit?

Ok so now the juicy details. Oh but wait, I have more news….

Bobby and I already got married a couple of months ago, and didn’t tell anyone!!

Mr. & Mrs. Erdman

(This was taken the day I found out. We had taken Rya to the park earlier and we took this while we were there)

Did you let that sink in yet??

Ok so now the explanation of what on earth is going on! So, no we didn’t get married because I’m pregnant. Definitely not! We got married back in August, because we both know that God wouldn’t want us living together and not be married. I don’t really care what anyone else thinks about it, because it’s between us and God. So, we went down to justice of the peace one night, and just did it. The only two people we told were our mommies. They were the only 2 other people that we felt needed to know, as we were still planning our grand wedding in April.

Fast forward a bit

Saturday night I was planning on staying home and baking cupcakes with Ryan and Shannyn. That afternoon I found out Tara was at home with no kids so I told her to come too. Bobby went to see some MMA fights with his lover Anthony (hehe) at the M. I was excited for a girl night! I was talking to Tara, and I don’t even remember how it came up but my period was late and I told her. She insisted on bringing a pregnancy test for me to take. I laughed because I told her it was ridiculous and I wasn’t pregnant, I just figured my body was changing and I was a tad late…. So she gets to my house, I take the test… and… well… turns out I really am pregnant! At first I was in shock, I didn’t even know what to say. I just stood there with my hands on my face. I think I cried after that, because of 2000000 emotions running through me, and then I was just so extremely excited!

So our cupcakes that we were planning on making were going to be pumpkin cupcakes, that plan quickly turned into ‘lets tell Bobby I’m prego with the cupcakes’. The frosting is orange because they were supposed to be pumpkins....

So I made him these =]

Then I got a plain t-shirt out of Ryan’s closet, and wrote a message on it that said “I’m going to be a big brother” and switched his shirts quick. Ryan passed out probably 20 minutes later, so my plan was a tad foiled, but I still had my awesome cupcakes. By this time it was way past my bedtime. Tara had left earlier to go take care of some things, Shannyn left after we looked up baby names, and I went to bed.

Bobby came home and I heard his car, Ryan woke up with me, so I grabbed him out of our bed and ran downstairs and we stood in the landing in the stairwell to watch his reaction. Bobby saw the cupcakes and I think he was just really confused. His face was kind of funny. He looked up at me and I think he said something like ‘seriously?’ and I nodded and he ran upstairs and just grabbed me and Ryan and hugged us and we were laughing and I was half way crying and it was just probably one of the most beautiful moments of my life. I showed him the t-shirt I made him and he liked it. =]

In the aftermath we told our parents first, sent a picture to Lisa of Ryan wearing the shirt, told our close friends, and now I’m telling everyone =]

We went to Target and got a couple pregnancy books because I have NO idea what I’m doing! I don’t know anything about this. After reading on it though, I’ve learned quite a lot! I had been complaining of being exhausted half way through the day for a couple of weeks, and of back pain. I’ve also been getting out of breath a lot lately! Even from just walking up a flight of stairs I find myself almost panting, I was thinking I was totally out of shape or something and that it was really sad I was out of breath after walking up stairs…. I found out that you produce 50% more blood once you conceive, so it makes you way more prone to being out of breath even after just walking down the hall. Also that your first trimester it’s normal to be tired all the time. Just little things I’m learning and it’s so nice to know I’m not just a ‘weenie’ as Thomas would say. Lol. I’m so very excited!!

Lisa brought Noah and Thomas over on Sunday to visit me and greet me with balloons and a rose to congratulate me! They hung out for a while, then Greg, Tony, and Casey came over. I told everyone I would cook, but they wanted take out instead (totally cool with me!) so we all sat and had dinner and watched a little Pirates because Ryan loves pirates right now, and just had a really nice evening. It was so nice of them to come over and bring me balloons and stuff.

I’m so incredibly blessed. To everyone who has told me congratulations and everyone who has said I'm already an amazing mom and not to worry, I thank you. I am so excited for this journey that our little family is about to embark on. I'm so excited for Ryan to have a little brother or sister. I can't wait for them to meet. =]

Cupcakes

So I bought this book almost a year ago now. It is ALL about cupcakes and shows you how to make them by scratch, and the frostings, and how to make beautiful creations in a very simple* way. The tips and tricks are awesome! So, I finally tried one of the things in there myself. I did the easiest I could find (because who wants to start something new and do the hardest one, then fail. So doesn't sound fun to me! lol) and it just so happened to be the butterfly cupcakes. They turned out really cute. I made them for all the kids who got their new belts at karate. Here are some pictures of my masterpieces... maybe next time I'll do a tutorial on one of my marvelous sugar creations.... maybe...

Close up of one of the butterflies

lots of butterflies

The finished product! I made little cupcakes and just wrote 'congrats everyone' on the smaller ones with icing. The project turned out really great and I'm quite proud of myself for actually pulling it off!

Mt. Charleston with grandpa

We went to Mt. Charleston to have dinner at one of Bobby's dad's friend's cabin. (did you follow that?) The weather was BEAUTIFUL. We brought Ryan and the dogs with us. The dogs were incredibly excited to be outside running around wherever they wanted to, and Ryan was loving all the stuff to climb on. Safe to say it was a nice night, good food, great company, and just a relaxing evening with the ones I love. =]

Britney Spears

So, I still have a 13 year old little girl hidden inside of me. I love Britney Spears. Even during her head shaving, hot mess days, a little flame still burned inside of me waiting for the day she would be amazing again. Everyone has to get their alloted 'mental breakdown' time right? right. So, now that she has her crap together, and went on tour again I HAD to get tickets. So Brandy has a little 13 year old little girl in her still so we went together. I have to say, I was quite impressed with her lip syncing. *insert giggle here* She's a great performer, was very enthusiastic the whole time, she even talked to the crowd, a little. So we got there right as the 10 second counter came on the screen and it was dancing, singing, and being silly for the next couple of hours. Had a great time!

She actually sang "everytime" live. Probably because it didn't involve any dancing.

I loved her gypsie costume.... It was so sparkly and pretty... I want it. lol

We had really amazing seats. We could see everything perfect. Throughout the show they had a 'freak show' theme going on and there was a midget with no legs that was doing trampoline stuff.... and a guy who was inside a metal circle that was just rolling around stage... it was pretty cool.

Busy!!

I need to update I have things to fill you all in with, I just haven't had the time. I work all day, go home and clean, cook dinner, get Ryan bathed and all that jazz the days we have him, sometimes get my butt to karate (which as of late, I haven't had time for that either unfortunately!!) and by the time I'm done with all that, it seems it's time for bed. Work has been incredibly busy for the past few weeks, barely any down time. Which, I'm not complaining about, because it makes the day go by faster, but lately I've been on the verge of pulling my hair out! Along with that, I was sick, Ryan was sick... just one thing after another. I need a long vacation.... can't wait for the wedding/honeymoon, b/c that's the first long vaca I'm going to be able to take between now and then! ha! Ok so letting you all know I haven't forgotten about this, just been crazy busy.

hilights:
Britney Spears
Stephanie's birthday dinner
Halloween misc.
First Friday for family

That's all I can think of right now...

back to work!
