My to-do list of the week

I have an incredibly busy next couple of weeks. Lots of fun things coming up, but I have to actually PREPARE for all of them!

-Finish up planning Ryan's birthday party. I have all the ideas in my head, I just haven't actually DONE anything yet!

-Plan some kind of friend get together for MY birthday coming up next week.

-Get lists together for baby showers. I know, sounds simple right? SO wrong! My wonderful mother in law wants to throw me a shower (she's so awesome, I really have been blessed with some great in-laws) and my sister wants to throw one as well. So I'm stuck having to divide everyone up into who goes to what shower. I don't want anyone to feel left out like 'hey Shannyn, I'm inviting you to this shower, but I don't want you at my other shower' because it's not like that at all. I don't want people to feel OBLIGATED to buy me stuff. Especially inviting people to 2 different showers and them thinking 'well crap, I have to buy 2 gifts!'. It's not a simple task. My mom in law is hounding me for a list though, so I have to come up with one this week. Oiy...

- Figure out what we're actually getting for Ryan for his birthday.

- Learn how to bake a cake and decorate it cute. I'm so not a baker!! I don't know what I'm doing!

Ok, now that I'm looking at it, it totally doesn't seem like much. But in my head, all I see is a big cluster ball of 'ugh toooooo much!'. Wish me luck.

Valentines Day

Valentine's day this year marked mine and Bobby's first married Valentines day! He made the whole day special. I woke up to my favorite little 3 year old walking in my room with a balloon for me. (Of course, he asked if we could share) I went downstairs to a beautiful arrangement of pink and red roses, with lilly's and baby breath. A beautiful card. And of course, a new purse accessory with pretty C's=]
We spent the afternoon at the park with Ryan and the dogs. Ryan played some soccer with daddy (We definitely have to get him on a team when the season starts, he's a total natural just like his daddy!) The dogs ran and ran and ran, Emmett tried to make friends with anyone who came to the park. It was a nice afternoon! Ryan spent the evening with grandma, and Bobby took me out to eat on the strip. It was very fancy. Here's where we went.

KIDDING! Here's where we really went.

It was so beautiful inside! It was very swanky... I had the best fillet of my life! The food was exquisite. I wish we could eat like that every night! Bobby was sad he couldn't have that kind of food every night as well.

Junior & Christine Matthews

A couple of weekends ago my dear friend Junior got married to Christine! It was a beautiful backyard ceremony, Junior looked dressed to impress, and the bride had a beautiful halter style dress.

Getting ready was a nightmare. I'm 6 months into my pregnancy, and my bump is really getting in my way lately! I figured I could just throw on one of my dresses and it would be fine. BOY was I wrong! My boobs are huge (Not bragging in the least, they are seriously out of control, and 80% of my shirts don't fit because they don't fit in the boobs. It's become quite a problem) and it was extreemly difficult sifting through all my pretty dresses and only coming uppon 2 that would work. Both no sleeves. and it was COLD! Ok, not freezing, but it was raining all morning and all the way up to the ceremony it was raining. COLD! I complained to Bobby as I pulled dress after dress out of my closet to no avail. *sigh* Finally found one, I'll have to post a pre pregnancy pic of me in it and then the one of me and Bobby. haha!

The ceremony was held in their neighbors back yard. Beautiful back yard! It was like a tropical island paradise. I would die for a back yard like this one! I wish I would have gotten more pictures of it...

After the ceremony we went back next door to the Matthews house for the reception. They had accomodated all the guests by putting up tents outside so not everyone was stuck in the house. Beautiful day and I'm so excited for my friend! I'm glad he is happy, and can find some happiness in life after it had delt him and all those close to him some very sad months previous.

The ring pillow! In true Matthews fashion! lol!

Girls night out

/-I organized a ladies night, since it seems we're all always so busy with our lives, it's hard for us all to get together at the same time. We had a great time! I am so incredibly blessed to have these ladies in my life. I love them all so much. They are all such great friends, we have so many fond memories from high school and beyond. We started the night at Batista's. LOVE it there! Great food, awesome entertainment. There's a little 80 yr old man who walks around with an accordian and sings songs. There was a table of guys around us that sent us songs via the little man. too bad half of us were married. We had a small photo shoot after dinner in the bathroom. We were going to go ride go carts after, but then I remembered I'm pregnant. HA! Well so is Jen too, and she's going to pop any day now. So instead of go carts, we settled for ice cream =] Stephie's new H2 seriously feels like the Indianna Jones ride at Disneyland. We sang the theme song the whole way to get ice cream. It was wonderful.

Ice Cream!!

In the elevator... all us girls cramming in

Our bathroom photoshoot. haha

All of us beautiful girls at dinner.

Jen Jen Baby shower for Karli!

Jen had her baby shower a couple of weekends ago. She's probably the cutest pregnant woman ever. She's still skinny everywhere, it looks like she just shoved a basket ball under her shirt. I hate her. Kidding, kidding. Anyway, here's some pictures

My husband the Grand Champ

My best friend (who is also pregnant) belongs to a different martial arts organization than me. We all used to be ATA, but she broke off. She goes to open tournaments and has had her own school. So she invited us to the most recent open tournament. Bobby decided to enter into the point sparring competition. They don't break it up by rank (well once you are black belt anyway) for sparring, they break it up by weight class. Bobby sparred 4 matches and won his ring. They were BLOWN AWAY!!! He was amazing, and his tallent far surpassed anyone there. Me and Ryan were both jumping up and down so excited. Ryan was punching the air on the sidelines and saying 'daddy!! Get the bad guys!!!'. It was awesome. We waited around for HOURS for the final matches. They take every winner from every weight class, and then they compete against one another to determine the Grand Champ. Bobby ended up beating everyone, and he won $100 and some pretty cool trophies. I was very proud =]

"Irate-Prego"

I've been told on more than one occasion, by more than one person, that I'm a little bit of a crazy pregnant lady. I'll admit, I have had my moments. Karla refers to me as 'irate-prego', and relishes in my stories of 'WTF I WILL PUNCH YOU IN THE FACE' moments. I think I've been in more fights as a pregnant woman, than I have in my whole life combined.

Lets take Monday for example. I'm getting ready to pay for my order at Costco. I got a 6 pack of chocolate muffins (Yeah chocolate muffins, you got a problem?). I only got 6 because I can't eat 12 before they expire. (You're supposed to buy 2 packages of 6). I have gotten one package during many a trips to good ol' Costco. The lady checking me out insists that I MUST have 2 packages, that she can't ring me up for just one. At this, I fly off the handle, start yelling at her and saying I've done this tonz of times before. All the while, guess who I'm on the phone with? Karla of all people. She's listening and laughing. I end the altercation with telling her to 'just forget it!!!' screaming at her, then taking my things and walking out with my big belly. Oh, I had plenty of people giving me the 'wow she's bat s*** crazy' eye, but that's okay. This is just one example... it seems something happens almost weekly that gets me into an almost physical altercation with someone.

Before my pregnancy, I was probably the most patient person in the world. Now, my fuse is so short I don't even know when I'm about to lose it. My poor husband...

My belly is getting big. Like, gigantic big. I'll have to get another picture, haven't taken one in a couple of weeks. It's fun to feel her kicking me all day now. She has been kicking with purpose the past couple of days. Sheesh! She is definitely going to be a forms and sparing world champ someday, that's for sure. I hope my daughter gets my strong headed-ness. I hope I can pass along the 'call you out on your bull s***' genes to her.

In other news, there is other news to be shared, I just haven't had time to sit and edit pictures. *sigh*. I'm sorry, I'm a perfectionist.
