Cowboy Season is here!

Football has officially begun for the season. We started it off right by going out and getting Ryan his very first Cowboys jersey! We all wore them for the first day of the season and our Cowboys won! Lets hope Tony Romo keeps his head out of the clouds this season and doesn't hurt his little finger again...

Presents

So, Emmett has been a delight in our home. Asside from the few 'incidents' we have had, he's a great puppy and we love him so much. I think he loves us too!! Infact, he loves me so much, he brought me a present from our back yard!

uggghhhh I HATE bugs, especially spiders! So I walk downstairs and he's standing next to it wagging his tale, Ryan's on the luv sac and I start freaking out. Ryan's like 'Hunnie, what?' He was so confused I told him I didn't like spiders they were yucky and he goes, in the most calm voice ever, 'hunnie, don't look at it.' LOL! I just looked at him and started laughing I couldn't help it. I go 'don't look at it?' and he goes 'Yes! don't look at it!' watch sponge bob with me' This little boy is the best. He totally kept me from having a heart attack... goodness. Anyway, Bobby removed the spider, thankfully. Ryan kept calling it a lady bug and I kept having to tell him it was a spider... I have a lady bug magnet on the fridge and he likes to play with them and I think the name just got stuck in his head, b/c he called a butterfly a lady bug the other day too. haha.

Nickleback

We went to see Nickleback and had a great time! Bobby bought tickets for us months ago, and I've been SO excited for months to see Nickleback live! I was also stoked to see Saving Able who was with them, but we got there 30 minutes late, and they had already gone! I was so bummed!! Lisa and Greg came over before we left for dinner so we could car pool. I made them a yummy pasta dish, and Greg scarfed down pretty much an entire pizza right before they came over!! lol. Anyway we got there and we had seats, but Lisa and Greg had gotten general admision so we had to split for a little while. We found them in the crowd and sent them pictures of themselves from our cells lol. So we get there, realize we missed Saving Able :-( and then Papa Roach comes on, they let stupid Papa Roach play for an entire dreadful hour... ugh. I'm not a huge fan of Papa Roach. I like the old stuff, like the stuff I listened to in highschool, but the new stuff is just not as good as it used to be. Anyway, Hinder played after Papa Roach, and they were good, but the sound was just piercing! The speakers were messed up or something, it was incredibly too loud. Once Nickleback took the stage though, it was smooth sailing. Perfect sound, great energy, they were awesome! Chad Kroger is an amazing entertainer. He really knew how to get the crowed pumped up, he talked between pretty much every song, cracked jokes, threw stuff at the crowd. It was awesome. After we got done we didn't get home till around 12:30-1:00 ish. I was soooo tired the next morning, but it was so worth it! I had a great time with my hubby-to-be. Such a good present for no reason at all other than just to make me smile =] He's too good to me.

Nikki's Bridal Shower

I hosted Nikki's bridal shower at my house and I think it's actually begining to sink in that she's REALLY getting married! My little sister, my little baby sister that used to play barbies with me all day, that used to play 'little mermaid' in the pool with me as kids, the little girl who used to make snowmen and snowangels with me every winter... Wow... My little sister means the world to me, she's my best friend. I love her so much and I can't believe she's actually going to be MARRIED! She's such a beautiful person, inside and out. My sister would give you her last penny, the shirt off of her back... I look up to her in so many ways. I hope that someday I can be 1/2 as good of a person as my sister is. She has surprised us all, she used to be this shy little kid who always stood in the background, I always worried about her growing up because I didn't want people taking advantage of her, and she's grown into this strong, steadfast woman. I'm so proud of her. We had a blast at her bridal shower, here are some pictures

Legoland California!

We took Ryan to Legoland and he loved it! It was just a short trip to California for the weekend, but it was so nice to spend such a fun weekend with my boys. We spent the first day at the beach. Ryan loved the 'big water' as he called it. He was jumping over the waves, and letting the water splash on him, and playing in the sand, he just had so much fun. I loved seeing him so happy there. I love the ocean, it's something that I can just look at and stand there staring at the water with my feet soaking in the water and the sand between my toes, and feel at home. So I really enjoyed sharing my love of the ocean with Bobby and Ryan. We had such an awesome afternoon there, I got some really beautiful pictures.

The next day was Legoland. That place was awesome! I've never been there, but it is DEFINITELY the place to take younger kids! Way better than Disneyland (for the littler ones, we would have been secluded to Toon Town if we would have taken him there) for his age right now, and it was just such a nice fun day with them. Ryan was so excited when we got there I thought he was going to explode. Everything there is made out of legos! It's amazing! The first ride we went on was a boat ride and they had all kinds of scenery made out of legos, but the first thing was dinosaurs and Ryan was like 'oooohhh DINOSAURS!!!' He was SO excited to see them lol. We went on a ride that's like the ride at the top of the stratosphere, but smaller for kids and Ryan LOVED that. He asked to go on it again and again, ALL day long. It kind of freaked me out I'm not the best with heights but he was ready to do it 20 times in a row. lol. They have all kinds of different jungle gyms and big playgrounds and slides and things to climb and everything is SO interactive for them. He was just going 100 miles a minute the whole day. They have an entire land that's just a big water park. We could have spent the whole day in just that one area alone. Ryan loves water so he just spent probably a couple hours before we MADE him leave to go eat and see more stuff. He was just tall enough to go on most of the rides. There was a handfull he was too small for but he could go on 90% of everything that was there. Here are some pictures from our fun day!
